Things I Meant to Do and Didn't

Well, DH and I have been back home for just over a week now and my mind keep going back to the time we were in Vegas. I had such good intentions-doing favorite things again as well as doing some totally new things- even after so many trips there are casinos we haven%26#39;t set foot in(some just to say we did-LOL)

I didn%26#39;t get to Summerlin this trip.We always take a ride out to drive around the neighborhoods,(still toy with the idea of eventually moving there) and stop in at Red Rock Casino. I also enjoy going to the Marriott .

No drive out to Lake Las Vegas-this makes the 3rd trip we missed doing it. I think it is very pretty.

Still haven%26#39;t caught the new Sirens show-(yeah I know I might not be missing much but its on my list)

This is the first trip we didn%26#39;t go check out the Conservatory at Bellagio. We always do, but it didn%26#39;t fit into our schedule this time-I am disappointed

We STILL have not set foot into either Circus Circus or the Sahara-again I might not be missing much but I%26#39;d still like to see them.

Didn%26#39;t make it downtown this trip- haven%26#39;t been there since January- missed going in June also.

No outlet malls this trip- perhaps that%26#39;s a good thing-LOL

SLEEP IN!! I promise myself every trip that I won%26#39;t get up super early(up by 6am every morning no matter how late I turned in)-still haven%26#39;t managed to do it- who needs sleep in Vegas??

We still did plenty- would have done more if DH didn%26#39;t get stuck putting in some time on a project(wonderful things those cell phones and laptops!!)

SEMA show,Carroll Shelby%26#39;s facility, visiting Venetian,Palazzo, Wynn, MGM,NYNY, a nice M%26amp;G, Crazy Horse show, Big Elvis, some shopping, gambling, and some quality time with DH were some of the things accomplished.

I%26#39;m sure there are others who have things planned out and never get to do all of them-

Guess I just need to book another trip!!

Things I Meant to Do and Didn't

I guess we just go with the flow. I may HAVE to plan a show time or dinner reservation but I usually have a plan B, C, and D.

If I miss something, it%26#39;s just something to do nex time. :-%26gt;

I have always wanted to try Waverly%26#39;s Steakhouse at the Cannery and just can%26#39;t seem to do it.

Things I Meant to Do and Didn't

Some of the things you listed, you were right, you didn%26#39;t miss much. I don%26#39;t think I could ever visit Vegas and not go Downtown, though.

I missed going to the top of the Stratosphere and riding the rides last time and that%26#39;s the only thing I regretted.

The SEMA show must%26#39;ve been pretty cool, though. Any photos?

I tell myself I will sleep in also and I am usually up at 6 or 7 am everyday there.

I have never been inside IP, Tropicana, or the Wynn.

I am going to try to eat at Verandah, The Palm, and probably one other new to me resturant this next trip. I may also attempt to conquer my fear of heights to have a drink at the outside patio of the mix to get some great photos.

I am also going to cough up the cab fare to go down to the Wynn to gamble and try their choclate martini%26#39;s.

I am going to take a lot of photos on my next trip including photos of our Turkey Time M%26amp;G.

1. Win big enough at slots that I have to wait for the attendant to pay me :)

2. Visit Green Valley Ranch and Hard Rock. I like to check out new hotels.

3. Try the Wynn Buffet

4. Get up late one day, I just run, run and run without taking a minute to cool out.

I have been to Vegas around 50 times or so since the 80%26#39;s. I go for about 2 weeks at a time so I can fit lots of little things in ( like exercise lol ) I still try to make it to all the new hotels long enought to get a feel for them. Here are three things that are still on my list that I want to do but have never done. And one I want to do again now that it is complete.

1. Atomic test museum%26#39;s trip out to Doom town.

I do not plan my trip far enough ahead and Doom Town is always booked 3 months out.

2. Liberace Museum.. many people have told me it was a highlight of thier trip and a must do.

I bought two tickets for this and hope to use them in Dec.

3. Kayak Lake Mead. I have done tons of drives and hikes out there but not on a Kayak...

4. Take a 1/4 day and complete the Sporting Clays course at Desert Lake shooting club. I heard it%26#39;s one of the nicest sporting clay ranges in the U.S. with 20 unique stands. I went when they first opened and I think they had about 12 stands and the club house was not built yet. It was private at the time but now it is open to the public.

Things I have that I have not done but say I will and are on the next list.

1. Valley of the Fire

2. Red Rock Casino

3. Red Square - Mandalay Bay

4. Purple Reign - Prince cover band

Other thoughts:

Things I have done but not in a long time and need to go back.

Stratosphere Top of the World at least for drinks

See how much CC and Strat have changed in 20 years

Things I%26#39;ve done and know I%26#39;m doing in my 2 trips in Dec.

Renting a car twice and driving to VOF and RRC and Redrock Casino, going to Laughlin after 20+ years. Getting out of the casino more and comparing the old school to the new school. Can%26#39;t wait it%26#39;s been almost six months.

1. Atomic Testing Museum

2. Neon Museum

3. Springs Preserve

We just got back and I%26#39;m still bummed I didn%26#39;t do a buffet or see a hypnotist.

Thanks everyone-you%26#39;re giving me even more things to put on my ';to do list';- the neon museum and the atomic testing site are great possibilities.. Liberace%26#39;s museum is another. I did the roller coaster at NYNY but not at the Strat and I think it will stay off my list-getting too old-LOL

Just thought of another one- still haven%26#39;t gone up in the Eiffel Tower rep-worth it??

Oh and I still haven%26#39;t hit a progressive! That in itself is reason to keep going back!
