What's great about the Palazzo?

I walked through very quickly last night just to see it, and I%26#39;m sure there was a lot I did not see. But the lobby and the casino didn%26#39;t wow me. I%26#39;m just wondering what makes the Palazzo wonderful...is it the rooms? I guess since it is new I was expecting something different. It looked just like everything else out here, on not as grand a scale. Just walking through, it didn%26#39;t measure up to the Venetian in my opinion. Like I said though, I%26#39;m sure I missed a lot of what is there.

What's great about the Palazzo?

It%26#39;s wonderful because in the summer, when it%26#39;s 110 degrees out, you can walk from Venetian to the Wynn, and only have to go outside as you cross the street to the Wynn.

=)

What's great about the Palazzo?

I really like the Palazzo%26#39;s casino (which many say is ';boring';). I like the spaciousness, and the first time I went we had a pit boss who talked to us and pointed out many details that I would have missed. For example, that ceiling - just a huge blank, huh? Well, if you look, it really is all etched leaves and flowers, and changes color. Really pretty. I think the whole place is tasteful and soothing. Some people don%26#39;t like that, they need more ';voom';, but that%26#39;s ok.

It depends on what you%26#39;re looking for in a casino. Personally, I don%26#39;t really like being depressed when I gamble. And being in a dark crowded room with low ceilings and a massive cloud of smoke makes me a bit depressed.

I don%26#39;t really like The Venetian casino. It seems a bit crowded and like it was a bit of an afterthought. I LOVE how open and bright the Palazzo casino is.

But, yes, the Palazzo rooms are great. And so is the dining and shopping.

Everything is Great about the Palazzo!!!

Dsoren, you described how I feel about the Mirage casino to a T. I felt like I needed a miner%26#39;s helmet with the light on it just to see where I was going.

';But the lobby and the casino didn%26#39;t wow me';

Well, I really guess it all depends on what someone is looking for.

Mirage, Bellagio, and even places like New York New York and Paris had unmistakeable ';wow'; factors. And with the exception of Bellagio, that ';wow'; factor wore off, and so did much of the casino%26#39;s appeal.

I think the newer trend with places like Wynn, Palazzo, Trump (even thought there%26#39;s no casino), and many of the forthcoming (Encore next month, Mandarin Oriental and everything else at City Center) are trying to ';wow'; in a different way. They are seeking class and service in a comfortable environment.

Apparently, a lot of the hotels are de-theming. TI, Mirage, MGM Grand have all done it. NYNY is in the process. Elegance and luxury is the new theme.

I hope the Wynn will be able to open things up a bit when Encore opens. It seemed a bit crowded to me. Getting rid of those trees would help...

I would agree that the casino is not a wow factor for Palazzo, but the service is what we enjoyed most. The rooms are beautiful and the staff were very helpful. The dealers at the table were very friendly which I don%26#39;t find at Bellagio and Wynn. We absolutely loved our stay at Palazzo and can%26#39;t wait to stay there again!

I love the remote control window shades! I know it doesn%26#39;t sound like a big deal, but somehow, they%26#39;re so cool!

And the concierge level was decadent...loved it.

Just got back from 4 days there and loved it ! So elegant and bright! Rooms were huge and airy and the whole place is so clean . Location is great - an easy walk to everything along the strip.

We were treated very well there and would love to return!
