swimming pools in February

This may seem like a dumb question, but it%26#39;s really not. Considering the client I am used to... I am going to Vegas the first week of Feb and want to know if the outdoor pools are open or if it dependant on the weather. I spoke to a few people and I have heard yes and heard no and heard, it depends... Thanks!

Open? Yes. Swimmable without turning into an icicle when you come out? No.

Despite what many people seem to think, Vegas is not in fact a tropical climate. It has a winter season and it does get cold.

Each hotel maintains its own pool schedule. Most will keep one pool open year round, but not all do, so the answer will depend on which hotel you choose.

Do your clients swim in February? :)

Anyway, it is extremely unlikely that it will be pool weather in early February in Las Vegas. Some (most?) of the large properties may have one pool open. But seriously, it%26#39;s unlikely to be pool weather.

thanks for the answers.

I live in Manitoba, so we%26#39;re tough when it comes to weather... :)

if it%26#39;s 17 degrees, which is average for Vegas then, (weather everywhere lately is above average, which is good) on a sunny day, sitting IN the sun, is definately an option! even at that temp.

The answer is it depends. I%26#39;ve gone swimming in January one year and watched snow flakes flutter down in another year. Many of the larger hotels will have a pool open if weather permits. Generally it is warm enough for a little sunbathing (upper sixties F) but too cool for swimming. You can check with individual hotels on whether they%26#39;ll have a pool open.

thanks again. I%26#39;m just hoping for the best! :)
