The Mirage...and Thank you

First of all thanks to everyone who has helped me FINALLY decide on The Mirage for our LV trip. One more question then i promise i am going to book!!!. Is it worth the extra to go for a Tower Deluxe room? it works out at $642 for 6 nights which i think is a great bargain. If the answer is yes would it be better to book now or upgrade from a standard room when I get there?

Thanks once again to everyone who has helped me in my quest

Well, my opinion is YES. We always book the Tower Deluxe room for the bigger bathroom (double sinks, separate shower and jet tub), plus those floors have their own elevators, so it%26#39;s much quicker getting in/out. I%26#39;m not sure when you are going, but we%26#39;re checking in on Friday and the rates are the lowest we%26#39;ve seen in the last 3 years for the Tower Deluxe room.

But, it%26#39;s up to you. Maybe you%26#39;ll get lucky and get the upgrade at check-in. Good luck!

The only difference in the Tower Deluxe rooms and the regular Deluxe rooms is that the bathroom is small in the regular rooms and much larger in the TD ones. Room itself is the same. That is a good price though and if it means a lot to you, then go for it! When are you going to be going? If it%26#39;s a busy time, then you take a chance on not getting it if they don%26#39;t have any TD rooms available when you check in.

We start our trip in San Fran and next Thursday (27th). Will be in Vegas 9th -15th Dec

In my opinion, the tower deluxe is not that much different. Here are the differences:

Tower Deluxe has:

Dual Vanity in bathroom, one of which will be hit with door if you barge in on someone doing their makeup, etc.

(the standard rooms put the vanity outside the bathroom door in case the hubby wants to do the three S%26#39;s while the lady attends to makeup, hair, etc.)

Separate Elevator for Tower Deluxe Floors:

The other rooms have elevators that can stop several times, while the tower deluxe floors (24 and 25) go only to those floors.

I would not book one, rather book a standard room. Once you have booked (*direct with hotel only!!!*), you can tell them then or in a follow up call that you are there for your anniversary. Usually (the 4 times I have tried this) this gets you the tower deluxe upgrade with no additional cost. You can just pretend it%26#39;s an anniversary if it%26#39;s not. ;-)

We have stayed in both types of rooms, but now that both of these have been remodeled recently, they will both be fine. I am considering not doing the deluxe even if offered next trip just to allow my wife to have the vanity to use outside the steamy bathroom.

I echo gabby%26#39;s remarks.

I got a free upgrade to Tower Deluxe but then I%26#39;m especially charming. YMMV.
