Free Upgrades on Hotel Rooms....

I always read reviews from travelers saying ';they were up-graded for free upon check-in'; at a hotel. What is the appropriate way to ask? Any advice?

Free Upgrades on Hotel Rooms....

Just ask as nice as possible=) The worst they can say is no. Good luck!

Free Upgrades on Hotel Rooms....

I just always ask if they have any complimentary room upgrades. If I am told no, then I ask for a strip view, mountain view, quiet room away from ice machines and elevators...anything special they can provide. We usually get something special based on the availability of the hotel at that time. (several times we%26#39;ve been lucky enough to be given a suite)

And we always TIP the staff for being generous!

I was wondering the same thing - only my room is already a comp. so i guess i have to ask if they can give me another comp on top of the comp im already getting?

Well if it%26#39;s a comped room, look at your offer since it may be for a specific room type? You can still ask if there are any complimentary room upgrades but depends on the hotels and what%26#39;s available.

All depends on the hotel and upgrade from what to what. (Deluxe to strip view is very possible, but Deluxe to bungalow suite(smallest)little bit diffrent. No harm in asking if there are one or they other, the mini suites may be granted but may cost 卤 $20/nt additional.

Just be nice when the rep is checking you in and I don%26#39;t know about you but at Ceasar%26#39;s we have been lucky when I have been there. The first time it was my batchlorette and the nice lady at the front desk upgraded us to a Palace Suite and we paid for a Classic Room really CHEAP. The second time they were offering upgrades for $60 a night more and we told the nice man no that we had just had our wedding and had limited funds...so he gave it to us for FREE we paid for the room at the Classic rate again.

Just drop little hints and be nice they will work with you. I also asked for his card and sent in a letter commending his excelent customer service.

:)

Remember that LOTS of people attempt to get free upgrades every day in Vegas. They can%26#39;t all be accommodated! Expect nothing and look upon any success you may have as a big bonus.... :-)
