First time in Vegas with two other girlfriends.

Hey! So after finding a great deal ($380 including flight from Vancouver and 4 nights at New York New York) 2 girlfriends and I will be heading to Vegas from December 11th to 15th.

I read that the weather during this time averages 14 degrees. How accurate is that? I know when I went to Greece they said it would average 24 degrees, but it was usually over 30! I realise its just an average, but it would be nice to know from people who actually know the current weather.

We dont really like to Gamble at all, so looking at TA%26#39;s list of things to do, I picked a few out from the first 170 things on the list. Man that list is long! A few things that I found interesting was The Neon Museum, or the Atomic testing museum.. Are those things actually worth it? Are they close to the strip?

Another thing I found neat was Comedy Stop- for $10 and you get to see 3 comedians and it includes one drink. Where is this place? Would I come across it just walking around? My friends love comedy shows, and one of them is a cheapo so this show sounds good. Is it worth the $10? and Perhaps the long walk?

Do you have any other suggestions for things to do?

First time in Vegas with two other girlfriends.

since you are going there with 2 other chicas, i recommend chippendales at rio or thunder from down under at excalibur.

the temp in mid december will probably be in the 30s at night and in the 60s in the daytime. im in vegas every december and the weather never changes.

First of all, I don%26#39;t believe it has ever been ';14 degrees'; in Las Vegas.

Secondly, I sure wish I could visit Las Vegas with ';two girlfrieds';.

That would be awesome...

%26#39;Hal Lavolere%26#39;...we use the Metric System in Canada (14 degrees Celsius = 57 degrees Fahrenheit) :)

Oops!! Sorry, I forgot to mention that I think in Celcius lol.

Are the two rides on top of the Stratosphere still in service?

If you want to have a good time, leave the cheepo at home. Nothing worse than a tight wad to ruin a vacation. Especially in Vegas;)

Mac King Comedy %26amp; Magic Show was pretty good. Just went last week, they were handing out coupons - 2 free entries for the price of one drink. So I paid about $36 for 3 people.

I have done Vegas with cheapo...not fun. He almost had a heart attack when we decided to eat breakfast at the Grand Lux Cafe in the Palazzo (where we were staying, he was @ TI) he said that we could get ';the same thing at Denny%26#39;s at Casino Royale.'; I%26#39;ll pass...

And then he went on to say that his room at TI was just as nice as ours at the Palazzo.

ANYWAY, sorry about that. We have taken our teenager to Vegas a few times. We usually let him bring a friend. Here are some of the things they enjoy doing:

- Madame Tousad%26#39;s Wax Museum @ Venetian

- Eiffel Tower Observation Deck @ Paris

- Roller Coaster @ NYNY

- Conservatory %26amp; The Bellagio

- Shopping - Forum Shops, Fashion Show, Miracle Mile, Palazzo Shops

- Eating great food

- Going to shows

- and finally, just walking up and down the strip and wandering through the hotels

I have trouble understanding why people think that Vegas is only fun if you gamble. Vegas is now what it used to be - it is now a world class city.

If you went to New York City, what would you do? You would eat, sightsee, go to shows, and shop. You can do ALL of that in Vegas - and the dining and shopping is, in some ways, even better than NYC and many other cities.

The current weather is in the 70%26#39;s and lower 50%26#39;s at night. You will want a jacket or nice sweeter for the evenings.

the comedy club is a good walk from where you are staying. I don%26#39;t gamble either but I love to walk the strip! Almost every casino has a great attraction.

example:

Treasure Island has Buccaneer Bay the explosive sea battle

MGM has the Rain Forest for a great place to eat also the Lion Habitat

Mandalay Bay has a shark reef

Mirage has the volcano show outside and the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

Bellagio has the fountains that dance to music and they also have a cool harvest show inside that changes with the holidays.

You will only be here a few days so take your time and explore each casino and their attractions without spending a dime. The architecture here is amazing and getting better every year!

Thank you all for your help so far!!

I had a call from the cheapo today and she has asked me to change the dates to the 24th to 29th of december.. Is this a good idea? Do things shut down on Christmas day?

I%26#39;ll compare the weather for you since we%26#39;re both in Van!

Days can be like our warm Spring and nights are like our beginning of Winter nights. You will definitely need a jacket/coat walking outside at night.

Have a great time! We%26#39;ll be in Vegas roughly around the same time as you!
