animup: For every day purposes, your driver%26#39;s license will be acceptable as long as it has your date of birth on it. For getting into bars and clubs, the passport is concrete proof, for sure, but your license and a $100 bill [if it%26#39;s one of the more popular clubs] will get you in every time!

Are you bordering on 21 years old? Why would you need any ID unless you%26#39;re cashing a U.S.$ Travellers%26#39; Cheque at the casino cage? I mean, they%26#39;ll probably recognize you as a Brit the minute you open your mouth to speak. Is your photo on your licence? If so, you won%26#39;t have to carry around your passport (leave it at your hotel, safe and sound, in a safety deposit box).
