Venetian or The Wynn

My husband and I will be in Las Vegas next year in August (we are coming from South Africa) for about 6 days.

I would like to know which is a better hotel The Wynn or the Venetian?

I have read such good reviews on both and am absolutely stumped!

We don%26#39;t gamble much so the casino is not important, a stunning room and good variety of restaurants is much more important to us!

We were in Vegas a year ago and stayed in the Signature and LOVED it!

Venetian or The Wynn

I%26#39;ve stayed at both and really like both. But I would rate Wynn slightly above Venetian. I see this as a win win for which ever you choose here.

Venetian or The Wynn

Wynn hands down.

But if you want a bigger room I%26#39;d actually go with the Palazzo. I love their rooms. They have a variety of restaurants as well, the casino is kind of themeless and lame but the rooms rock and it%26#39;s connected to the Venetian.

Wynn by a mile...especially when it comes to service!

If it%26#39;s not until August you are going...I should think a good bet would be Encore....that%26#39;s Wynn%26#39;s new Hotel, right next door...you can check it out on

If you make a ';mock'; reservation you can see what the rooms are going to look like. You can get an idea of how stunning Encore is going to be by looking at Wynn Macau, as they are going to look very similar...have a look here http://www.wynnmacau.com/index.jsp

Hope this helps.

Venetian for me. They are also right across the street from each other so easy to get to all the restaurants. I just really like the larger space of the Venetian suites, and the decor appeals to me more.

If you%26#39;re considering the Venetian, I%26#39;d suggest you look at the Palazzo, it%26#39;s part of the Venetian property, but is brand new. I stayed there in September and loved it.

On my last visit to the Venetian, I thought the rooms were a bit worn, although I heard they were renovating some of the rooms.

I would do the Palazzo. It%26#39;s Venetian%26#39;s new property. Rooms are huge and beautiful. And I like the vibe better than the Wynn. Much more open...the Wynn feels a bit cramped to me.

It just depends on what you are looking for though. The Palazzo reminds me of a luxury hotel in New York - on a much larger scale of course. The Wynn reminds me of the Bellagio.

Bear in mind, I have not stayed at the Wynn. But I believe the Palazzo as a whole is a nicer property, and I have no idea how the Wynn could top their rooms.

And the restauraunts at the Palazzo/Venetian are amazing. The fact that the Venetian has the only Thomas Keller restaurant outside of California makes it a winner in my book. But, Wynn also has its fare share of good restaurants.

Not true - Per Se in New York is a Thomas Keller restaurant. And I think the Las Vegas hotels woo chefs with all sorts of incentives, I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s the other way around. Look at Wolfgang Puck - is there a hotel where he does NOT have a restaurant?

Both great hotels.

if you want a themed hotel the go for the Venetian. Its location is slightly better as well.

Warmwinds - oops, you are right.

I think that Vegas does woo chefs with incentives, but, they have standards. If they are going to put their name on a restaurant, then they want the hotel to meet their standards.
