Mirage or TI?

We%26#39;re off to Vegas on the 19th December and have booked TI. Have stayed in the Wynn before (once) and the Mirage (twice). Really like the Mirage but fancy a change. Any views on the differences between the two? Thanks.

Mirage or TI?

Mirage is a step up from TI, a much better property overall IMO.

Mirage or TI?

Just curious gab, why do you say that? I thought TI was a step up from Mirage. TI is:

-Newer

-some rooms have been remodeled recently

-has newer lounges etc

-Don%26#39;t forget the pirate show HAHA!

TI has always been the step sister to Mirage. When were you last in the Mirage? Every room was just renovated, the job was finished in August. There%26#39;s a better variety of restaurnts at the Mirage, it%26#39;s one property closer to center strip and the Forum Shops and Caesar%26#39;s are right next door. I remember when both properties were built. Both nice, just that Mirage is a little nicer is all.

Since the rooms have been remodeled at both properties, the rooms are similarly nice. Overall, I would say Mirage is a little nicer, but if you%26#39;ve stayed at Mirage before and want to try something different, TI is nice as well. They%26#39;re really very similar, other than that TI is a little smaller and the Mirage pool is much nicer. They%26#39;re connected by tram and walkway, so you%26#39;ll have easy access to both hotels.

The mirage is bigger more to offer in gambling, restaurants bars and shows and the pool of course.

I have stayed at both several times.

If I judged on the basis of rooms only, I would stay at the TI. less walking to elevators, nicer rooms, bigger bathrooms and very quiet.

The TI is easier to get comped rooms, the Mirage wants more play. for slot players a comped night at the ti is 3800 points, the mirage wants 6000 a day but the mirage slots are ';looser';

I have stayed at both properties, TI once, and Mirage at least 3 times.

Our last trip in July we stayed at Wynn and saw Love show at Mirage.

One thing I immediately noticed is with the addition of the Love show, the casino is more crowded, and not easy to get on preferred slots. I also found the casino more dirty ie..drink glasses, beer bottles, ashtrays full, around the machines. Also couldn%26#39;t get drink service very easily.

So when booking for New Years, I deceided on TI due to it being cleaner, and the newly renovated rooms that I am reading as a big positive. We also on our last stay at TI got very good comps and future comp room offers %26amp; free play. Our last stay at Mirage we did not get very good comps in comparison to TI.

When its summer time, a pool is very important to me. I would then pick Mirage, who has a nicer pool.

My preference was Wynn, but couldn%26#39;t see dropping double the room rate just to ring in New Years. I would rather have great food, and gambling money for our trip.

Good luck on which ever you choose!

Mickey

TI if you want the newer rooms but Mirage is the better hotel.

If you fancy a change try Paris, PH, Caesars.

There are many differences. First coming from Wynn to either will be a let down, but Mirage has much better service. TI still can not get that right and makes no attempt to change the people.

Mirage has better dining, the room were remodled recently. (Now remodling the suites). Being winter the pool is not an issue now but you still may go pool side and the Mirage is a large lagoon syle pool that is relaxing. TI is like a public%26#39;s park pool compared to Mirage.

Hands down Mirage.

IMO, I%26#39;d go for TI.

I%26#39;ve stayed @ TIO twice, the second time was a comp- three free nights, $150 (or something similar) in free play. To boot, immediatly after getting home from my second trip to TI we received yet another three-free-night %26amp; $150 free play offer (we didn%26#39;t take that one, we couldn%26#39;t make the time).

As mentioned in other replies, both hotsls have been recently renovated, so that%26#39;s not a factor.

I found ALL staff @ TI very friendly %26amp; helpful.

Both poroperties, location on the strip-wise, are almost the same, so that shouldn%26#39;t be a big factor in your decision.

TI is smaller, ergo much easier to navigate.

Casino @ TI is not as busy as Mirage (%26amp; most others for that matter), but still very nice.

I will admit the pool @ Mirage is bigger %26amp; nicer, so if that%26#39;s a factor for you, then Mirage would be your choice.

Basically, I;d just like to say I find TI to be a very nice strip property for a variety of reasons- size,. location, comps offered, drink service, ease of navigating the property, service. It doedsn%26#39;t bhave the best restaurants, but it%26#39;s so close to other places, I don%26#39;t factor that in.

In any case, it;s all a matter of personal preference, but you%26#39;ve asked for opinions/ advice %26amp; this is mine for you...

Finally, one silly piece of advice; If you enjoy a Starbucks coffee in the morning %26amp; you%26#39;ve chosen TI, get there early or take patience with you. Their Starbucks is VERY busy!!!!

Enjoy your trip, wherever you stay!
