Rio ';show in the sky';

I did a search on this and saw a post talking about this show closing. But there is still information on the website with dates that you can buy tickets. The information is kind of vague. What is this about? Would it be worth making a special trip over there with my kids (ages 14 and 13)? Is the $12.95 ride along worth it?

Any information would be appreciated.

Rio ';show in the sky';

It closed for a while earlier this year whilst they did some maintenance and overhauled the show%26#39;s content. It reopened in May.

I haven%26#39;t personally seen the new version but by all accounts it%26#39;s far more ';adult'; themed than the old show, not really suitable for kids and generally nowhere near as good as what was there previously.

Rio ';show in the sky';

No reason to make a special trip for it. IMO it is quite boring.

I ditto Blagger. We have seen it and it has a sexier vibe now.

JMHO, but I wouldn%26#39;t put young teenagers on the ';float';.

Since you were on the website you saw the word ';new'; used about 6 times, sometimes as in ';all-new';.

You saw the picture of the girls, you saw mention of the Victoria%26#39;s Secrets outfits and you saw that anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

How vague is that?

';Worth it'; on anything to anyone is different. For me personally I would never make a trip to Rio for this, others would and have. I also would never bring 13 %26amp; 14 yo to a LV casino.

Once again, your commentary is invaluable. Thank you so much for taking time out of your trolling schedule to help peons such as myself. I am SO distraught about doing something you wouldn%26#39;t do.

I saw the ';new'; version and I would not really take 13/14 year old to see it. I wouldn%26#39;t take a trip over there to see it even if you are an adult. It is very, very lame. How they can make an ';adult'; show boring I will never know- but they managed to do it! If you happen to be at the Rio- maybe stop and look but otherwise forget about it. The ride was never worth it-IMHO. You have to remain seated, you can%26#39;t throw beads- it is all very boring and very short. My advice- skip it-all of you!

I saw the ';New Show'; also and it is not meant for children at all. It was a car crash between TI Sirens and Pussy Cat Dolls. I would not make a special trip to see it and would not pay to ride along on the floats.

Thanks VP. Now that I know I can%26#39;t throw beads, I%26#39;m not goin%26#39; :%26gt;(

Are the kids boys or girls? If they are boys I think they%26#39;d be eternally grateful for the float ride.
