Weather in December?
The temps in December can be all over the place. What it is like one year has nothing to do with what it is like any other year. The average high(depending on when you go)-mid 50s to 60. But the highs can range from the 30s to the 70s. On the first day of December 2004 the high was 51. On December 24, 2005 the high was 70. That is how much the temps can vary. The average low-mid/high 30s with a range from the teens to the 50s.
The only sure way to know what the weather is going to be like during your visit is to look at a weather site just before leaving. Even then- the forecast can change while you are there so always bring clothes that can be layered-tops with long sleeves, a mediumweight sweater and a lined jacket. This way you will be prepared for any kind of weather. The chances of you being able to swim are very slim.
We%26#39;ve gone to Vegas in Dec the last 2 years and both years it was too cold for swimwear. The first year it was 60%26#39;s during the day with one cold, rainy day but last year, it was 30%26#39;s %26amp; 40%26#39;s most days we were there and was very windy. We wore our sweaters and coats with gloves walking on the strip during the day. There was one day that it warmed up late in the afternoon to 60%26#39;s and you could walk around with long sleeves and no jacket. I would take clothes that you can layer but defintely take long pants and shirts with long sleeves along with maybe a sweater and lighter jacket.
Thanks for the info on the weather in December.
i%26#39;ll take a mixture of clothing, not so many shorts and t-shirts now??
Hi
we have been twice in December the 1st time it was warm enough to walk around in the day in jeans and tshirt with a jumper in the eve. Last year however was a different story it was so cold even though the sun shone in the day we needed jackets then i had my gloves on in the eve.
world, if you are ever the optomist, bring swimwear. But it is much more likely you%26#39;ll need more clothes rather than less. I%26#39;ve seen it even snow in December a couple times. It%26#39;s high desert, not Hawaii.
