Hi All
Off to LAX/Vegas on Fri and still unsure as to what clothes to bring. I%26#39;ve never brought long sleeve shirts/jumpers/jackets to vegas before however have never been this late in the year %26amp; I had to go out an buy a fleece in FEB07 as the wind really picked up back then.
I%26#39;ll be travelling with 2 newbies so they will want to walk the strip one night at least and will also do premium outlets during the day so we%26#39;ll be outside quite a bit.
I don%26#39;t want to bring any extra clothes as would rather leave more room for shopping so can anyone who%26#39;s out there currently please give me some advice on what I need to bring as I honestly haven%26#39;t got a clue!!
Basically my question is: Would you be ok wearing shorts/polo shirts during the day and short sleeve shirts/jeans at night??
(Back ground info:I%26#39;m 40 years old and don%26#39;t feel the cold that much and weather here in London is currently mid 50%26#39;s and I don%26#39;t have the heating on )
cheers Rod
Clothes advice please.
Keep in mind that Vegas is in the desert so the air is dry (translates into, feels cooler than it really is, especially in the shade). I just checked weather.com and you should be fine in short sleeves during the day until Mon or Tuesday. Nights will be cool so you should at least have a jacket of sorts. Your friends might want long sleeves during the day, sweaters and a jacket or coat in the evenings. Best thing to do is bring clothing that can be layered and if it were me, I%26#39;d be taking long sleeves for daytime as well, late afternoons can be cool.
Clothes advice please.
Thanks Gabby
i%26#39;ve just got back and i have to say it was beautiful!! wore short sleeves night and day! didnt spend too much time wandering outside just from one hotel to next but i was fine- and i feel the cold! I took a lot of chunky jumpers and cardigans and they all stayed neatly packed in suitcase and i had to go buy a few tshirts!!
cheers lilchick
The weather forcast can change quickly at this time of the year- even after you arrive. I always did what gabby said- packed clothes that could be layered. Tops with short/long sleeves, a mediumweight sweater and a lined jacket(which you could wear on the plane). This way I would be prepared for anything and everything and I didn%26#39;t have to pack a lot of extra clothes. You also have to consider the winds in Vegas. The winds can make it feel much colder than the temps indicate.
