What's with the ';Got an email with a comped offer...';

Where/How does everyone get these comped offers mailed to them?

Is it because you%26#39;re somewhat a big spender on previous trips...or...simply just on a casinos email list and they eventually send you comped offers?

And I would assume the offers are for specific dates and not something that says book between these 2months?

Hi Schuey99,

am definitely not a big spender. Went to Caesar%26#39;s 2 years ago, and to atlantic city last year, and played at Caesar%26#39;s and Bally%26#39;s there. Last month I got 4 nights comped at the Harrah%26#39;s properties (with the exception of Caesar%26#39;s Palace) It is good until the end of February, with certain exceptions... holidays and certain weekends.I just booked my February trip to stay at Paris. I usually get these a few times per year, and like I said before, am definitely not a high roller. Joe

Offers are sent to those on email lists as well as to those who belong to a casino%26#39;s %26#39;Players Club%26#39;. Those that get offers for %26#39;comps%26#39; have a %26#39;history%26#39; with a casino and/or the players clubs that link several casinos together under one club name. The offers/comps all depend on a person%26#39;s %26#39;history%26#39;. Some get better comped offers than others based on these things.

Get an MGM Mirage card via www.MGMMirage.com

HET via www.harrahs.com

The Venetian and Palazzo have Club Gracie. www.thevenetian.com

Wynn has the Red Card.....www.wynnlasvegas.com

they get your information from signing up for their player%26#39;s cards. I am a low roller and I got a few deals. 2 nights free at Riviera, slot tournament invitations..

I%26#39;ve gotten mine simply by signing up for their players cards. Although I have yet to see any offers from ballys, paris, or ceasers. lol

We were in Vegas 6/17 through 6/21 recently and used the MGM/Mirage Players Club Card on a linked account between my wife and I. We both gambled similar amounts (about 2k total before any wins are factored in.. lost about 1300 once you took comps and hits into account), but she must have hit more wins than I did. Long story short, a point on the card is roughly one dollar wagered (won, inserted, whatever). So.. we wagered or played enough ';bets'; on the slots to equal 8,000 points for my wife, and 2,000 points for me. The quick math is that once you put in the wins, we played 10k worth, with only physically investing 2,000. So.. you do lose, but from a points perspective, you can get far more points than just the dollar amount would make you think.

With 10k in points, we were gladly assigned a slot host, who quickly let us know that all food and bev. were comped, tried to comp all of our stay (4 nights), but we had priceline prepaid the room. He also offered us a cabana at the pool, got us VIP status at Tangerine nightclub, and made us reservations for a fully comped meal at Japonais (which was WONDERFUL!!!). He also said next trip to call and room plus food and bev. would be taken care of.

Point of all of this is that our trip will be signifigantly cheaper next time, and we have VIP status if we want to get free tix (comp) to LOVE, have a cabana, etc., etc. I don%26#39;t think 2k out of pocket with 700 of that coming home with us in unused cash is that bad to garner such ';high roller'; status. We did get room upgraded before any play as it was our anniversary.

In all, take a trip and do some serious playing-this will establish you and get you a host (which is the only way to go). From there, the rest of the trips are so much easier. You just call the host and give dates and they take care of all the room reservations, can comp much more than players card staff, and will be available by cell whenever you need them in vegas. To get a host, accumulate your decent bevy of points, then go to the players desk and simply request they assign you a host. It%26#39;s the best thing I ever did. I will never book a package to vegas again-only airfare.

Hope some of that helps. BTW-we still have $150 in freeplay as well as all our points on our card for next time (they expire in 18 months), so we are going to look good then too. They comped about $375 in food and beverages for us, and were willing to get the room had I not already paid like a knucklehead. Also, since the trip, we have received offers for free stay and various amounts of freeplay at all of the MGM/Mirage properties, as well as several invites to slot tournaments.

There is a difference between comped rooms and cheaper rates for a hotel. I never heard of anyone getting comped rooms (free rooms) for just signing up online or getting a player%26#39;s card. You may get ';specials'; but I doubt if you will get free rooms. For those you need to gamble at a property.

You don%26#39;t necessarily have to be a really big spender. It is not how much you gamble using your own money but how much money is recycled through the machine-assuming you are talking about slots of VP. You also have to consider the hotel- you will get more comped offers from the less expensive hotels than those that are very expensive.

schuey99 - Im a really low roller and I%26#39;ve already received comp offers.

I went to vegas in mid october for the first time and already have had two offers from the palazzo/venetian.

I got about 3000 points with less than $100 out of pocket. One offer was for a slot tournament in december for a specific date. the other offer i got had almost no restrictions as far as dates. i am able to use it over and over from November 15th - February 28th. I%26#39;ve already booked two trips with that offer! :)

sign up and good luck!

I get many reduced offers from many hotels, but the only ';free'; one we ever got was from Venetian/Palazzo back when everyone was getting them. We had signed up for their Card on a previous stay and didn%26#39;t gamble that much. That offer WAS ';anytime between this month and that month';, and we%26#39;ve also gotten date specific slot tournament invites.

I am such a low roller that I%26#39;m shocked I even received 3 comp nights at MGM. I was here for 48 hrs last December and probably played only $1000, plus any winnings. They comped all our F%26amp;B for that weekend, and now I am receiving comp offers. I am currently here for 3 comp nights and I just received another 3-night offer for this month and next month, including weekends.

That being said, I have not gambled one single dime this trip so they will most likely never offer me a free stay again! My sister is here and she is gambling, however, so maybe they will at least see I brought a gambler with me!

I must say, I find Vegas MUCH more fun when I%26#39;m not gambling. This is the first time I have been here without gambling and I am having more fun than ever.

I do plan to gamble some tonight. It%26#39;s my last night and I figure it%26#39;s the least I can do after I accepted their generous offer for a comped stay.

If anyone is wondering while I am sitting here online in Vegas, it%26#39;s because I am working! I will hit the town at about 2 and I%26#39;m looking forward to my last night here!
