We are going for a week from the 26th Nov to 3rd of December.Staying at the MGM but willing to travel all over for a good pint.
Four chaps in the above age range all good drinkers and very young outlook wanting to have a laugh though want to get away from thump thump music as i get it from the teenage children day in day out. Its like white noise torture after a while.
is there any micro breweries or places with good food , beer and single deck or double deck 3;2 black jack that would be marvellous.

Best bar or club for 40 to 50 year olds
Our group does Vegas every MLK weekend for the NFL playoff games - this is our 7th year. One of my best memories in Vegas was a lunch I had at the Tilted Kilt in Rio. It was a few years ago for my 40th bday but had a burger with drunken clams, a few pints and watched the parade go by. We are going again in Jan for the playoff games and we hit the strip clubs to get away from the crowds. It is during the day so the club is not crowded. If you tell the dancers to come back at halftime, they leave you alone. Our group has lunch, watches the game and drinks for 6 hours and there isn%26#39;t the white noise factor. And for most of us, it is cheaper than gambling and creates better memories and laughs.
Advise about the MGM - check in at the airport and ask for a room close to the elevator. We stayed there last year and 5 of us were on one flight, checked in at the airport - long line but we were warned - and we got rooms a few doors off the elevator. When the other 3 from our group arrived later and checked in at MGM, their room was about 1/4 mile from the elevator, which sucked for them at 4:00 am.
Enjoy and let us know how it goes.

thanks sbsx i will post a trip report on my return
I am a big fan of Carnival Court during the afternoon hours. It gets very crowded and a lot younger crowd during the evening. I have to tell you it has been 2 1/2 years since I have been there, but a friend of mine (50 yrs. old) and his wife just got back and they loved the place.
I am heading out on Christmas day and I can%26#39;t wait to go there again. I know it is closed that day, but I will be there the 26th
I would suggest carnival court as well I was there in January with a bunch of friends and had a blast playing blackjack while listening to the band, Going to be there again this sat nite celebrating my 45th!
best bar that caters to senior citizens would be 777 at Main Street Station. Great good, good prices. Friendly waitresses.
Here are some great beer stops...
Downtown:
Main Street station casino downtown has a good brewpub.
On the strip Monte Carlo has a fun brew pub. Fun Monday Night Football party too.
Off the strip
Gordon Biersch brew pub has great food and a nice selection of beers it%26#39;s off the strip on Paradise Rd kind of near Terribles. I did not see Black Jack here.
For games and beer maybe one of the locals knows of a good gaming pub. The ones I have been in only have had VP and maybe a few slots. I have not seen any with live BJ ....
Enjoy !
FYI, the Tilted Kilt at Rio no longer exists. They replaced with some chain or other.
Damn, I was going for MLK weekend and wanted to eat there again. Anyone know of a similar type pub? - not the one at Excalibur.
As a 42 year old that goes to Vegas at least twice a year, I totally agree with the Carnival Court suggestion. Gambling outside with good music and entertaining bartenders. It%26#39;s one of my favorite places in Vegas.
Another suggestion would be Nine Fine Irishmen at NYNY. If you like an Irish Pub, it%26#39;s very good.
Also, right next to the Carnival Court, Harrah%26#39;s has a dueling pianos bar that is fun at night.
