It is Spring Break at home the week of Feb. 15, 09. We have flights booked to Vegas for this week. Is this a busy time in Vegas? When will hotel disounts begin for this week?
Feb. Spring Breakberleygirl: Unfortunately, right before you%26#39;re arriving, there are a couple of mid-sized conventions in town, and then two days after you arrive, there is the start to a HUGE trade show [the MAGIC show -- which is actually a clothing trade show] in town, so I doubt that ';discounts'; will be all that plentiful, because these conventioners tend to arrive a few days early, too.
Since you say that you%26#39;re coming to Vegas for ';spring break';, I take it that you%26#39;re in school (college/university).... While Vegas can be a fun place for almost anyone, if you, or those in your party, are not yet 21, you may feel a bit frustrated about not being able to ';party'; and/or gamble whilst here. (Of course, if you%26#39;re over 21, no worries.....)
Feb. Spring BreakSince you already have your flights booked I would urge you to go ahead and book rooms directly with a hotel at a rate you%26#39;re comfortable with. That way you will definitely not miss out and find yourself paying higher prices as other spring breakers %26amp; convention attendees start booking rooms for your dates.
Just keep an eye out for better deals after you book. Booking directly usually gives you the ability to cancel or adjust your reservations without a fee of any kind as long as you do it 48 to 72 hours prior to your check in time.
berleygirl: Just looked at your previous questions, and realize that you must be somewhat over the 21 year mark, since you have teenagers.... ;=)
Just to let you know, there are approximately 131,000 rooms in the Vegas hotels... the MAGIC show pulls in an estimated 120,000 attendees, so that%26#39;s going to take up a large chunk of the hotel room real estate for that time period.
Try to book as soon as you can.
Good journeys!
Thanks for your info!
