In 1995, our family took a small plane going to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. I%26#39;m trying to figure out whether it was South Rim or West Rim. I know there are small planes going to South Rim ... but not sure about the West Rim.
Thanks!
Are there small planes going to West Rim?
I%26#39;ll bet you went to the South Rim.
I don%26#39;t believe there are any landing strips at that place known as ';West Rim'; which isn%26#39;t even part of the Grand Canyon.
Are there small planes going to West Rim?
I believe that GCW has %26#39;plans%26#39; for an airstrip. But then they have %26#39;plans%26#39; for a golf course and a resort hotel and restaurants and you name it... But so far all they have is lunch in styrofoam and port-a-potties.
Skip GCW and go to the South Rim. They have real hotels and dining rooms and bathrooms with toilets that flush.
You can check with Las Vegas Grand Canyon Tours
866-218-3427. I will be going to Vegas in Dec and want to go to the GC and do the helicopter tour but everyone says to go to the south rim so I found LVGCT
who will fly out of vegas, in I think its a 19 paasenger plane to the south rim and then its 30min helicopter flight over the canyon with some sightseeing. The cost was $329.00 per person. They also have a flight out to the south rim and then you take a bus for some sight seeing and that is $229.00.
