Leaving Saturday for Vegas. Should I bring a coat?

Looks like it gets down into the 40%26#39;s at night. Should I bring my winter coat?

Leaving Saturday for Vegas. Should I bring a coat?

If you would wear a coat when it%26#39;s in the 40%26#39;s at home, then bring one. No one knows how your body does with warm/cold other than you. If it were me, I%26#39;d check the weather last minute and then decide. If you aren%26#39;t going to be outside a lot, I%26#39;d just bring a light weight one or layer clothing.

There is dry cold air vs cold moist air you may be used to. Dragging a heavy coat is no fun in Vegas. Have a sweater and light jacket.

I am leaving on Sunday. It seems that next week the weather will be cooler. I will personally take my Winter Coat with me. I am not used to cold weather and we are planning to walk a lot on the strip.

Hot off the press! According to the ever reliable weather forecast in the local newspaper the temperatures are expected to be: Sat. 73/49; Sun. 69/48; Mon. 69/47... Those lows are expected in the dead of night, so if you%26#39;re wandering the streets at 3 am then bring a jacket you%26#39;ll be comfortable wearing. Meanwhile, during the day, a long sleeved shirt should be enough. Factor in a 10 mph north breeze though.

Double check on Friday! www.reviewjournal.com

More on cool weather wear!

Ranali, you%26#39;re from Santo Domingo and you%26#39;ll have a different definition of ';Winter Coat'; than folks in the Great White North. Considering Las Vegas%26#39; forecasted temperatures, a fleece vest over a Pendleton cotton/wool blend shirt would be enough to ward off any little chill in the air. Those vests are easy to pack and our ';Winter Coats'; are too bulky and unnecessary.

Always bring clothes that can be layered- tops with long sleeves, a mediumweight sweater and a lightly lined jacket. This way you will be prepared for any kind of weather. I have been to Vegas many, many times from November through February and I never wore a heavy winter coat.

Worse comes to worse vp103 the folks can always go to Coyote on Fremont and 3rd or the Boot Barn on S.Las Vegas Blvd. and Warm Springs for some Pendleton gear. Eddie Bauer has a couple of stores in Las Vegas too. One is in the Las Vegas Premium Outlets on S.Grand Central Parkway downtown or the Town Square on S.Las Vegas Blvd just south of E.Sunset Road (which is pretty close to the above mentioned Boot Barn).

Bring layers and either a lite jacket or bigger sweater. The last time we went to Vegas in the Dec the week before Christmas, I took my winter coat and didn%26#39;t wear it once. Most nights and days I had a sweater on with a scarf around my neck and my gloves. Next week I%26#39;m just taking a lite jacket and layers.
