Just saved $ on car rental from Alamo

Read on the board about Alamo coupon for $25 off for the week. Since we are leaving shortly decided to price the car rental for the week. Called 800 number told them wanted compact car for the week, had $25 coupon (see their web site for #) he asked me if I was a member of any club, I said AAA, Sams Club, and he gave me additional $ off for Sams Club. You could not do this on line. This saved me $55 from my original rental with Enterprise. Cancelled Enterprise. Take the time to check this out before you go. Car rentals are hurting and looking for business... Now I have more $$$$ to spend in VEGAS!!!!

I had no problem doing it online. You just need the right codes. I Payed 6.80 a day plus taxes for a midsized. 60.37 total for 5 days.

I did not have any problem with the $25, but they offered additional savings by telling them you have Sam%26#39;s Club that I could not do on line.

There is a place for that code online as well. IF you use an american express card you can save an additional 5 percent over the Sams CLub code.

Loomis, wow, thats the best price per day Ive ever heard. I thought I had done well using Costco, didnt give much off, I do have a AAA and an American Express, perhaps, I need to take a relook! Outstanding price You got!

Just went and checked my price $6.83 per day for 7 days + fees. Great price.... But your%26#39;s is better, I don%26#39;t have an American Express.

Can%26#39;t complain about the price now, i%26#39;ve paid double that at times.

Keep checking everyone prices are still dropping.

I have a good rate with Thrifty, but just got a new Entertainment Book and with their discount/coupon I thought I could do better with Alamo.

Encountered something I never have before, so I called Alamo direct.

It would NOT take the coupon because they said the LAS Airport location had reached their capacity of coupons they would accept on my arrival day, even though I met all the coupon criteria! Never heard that anywhere before.

I do fairly well with my costco membership coupled with the coupons in the costco travel brochure.

Using the Costco Membership code also includes an additional driver (at no extra charge), which can save quite a bit.
