Drink prices in night clubs...

Only 6 weeks till the wife and i are hitting Vegas!

We%26#39;re considering reliving our late teens / early twentys by going to the %26#39;dancing%26#39;

I%26#39;m just curious as to the prices of drinks in Strip nightclubs.

We mainly drink spirits + mixer.

Anyone any ideas?

Here%26#39;s what I had:

Tryst: 2 Shots of patron $12 each, 2 Heinekin Lights $10 each.

Tao: $0 . . . . Learned my lesson and got by buzz on in the room before heading to the TAO the next night.

Leaving for Vegas in 7 hours, will be getting my buzz on again in the room and maybe one drink at the clubs.

$11-$13 for mixed drinks.

$8-$10 for a beer.

Long island at Tryst was $16.

Seriously though $16 [￡8} fpr a drink?

Couple that with the $40 [￡25} tp get into the club? What%26#39;s the point?

Perhaps it;s my age but it all seems rather expensive.

It keeps the riff-raff out. Hey, they should charge whatever people are willing to pay. Them places get packed.

^ I agree, i work for clubs in Hollywood and as long as people are willing to pay $16 for a drink(that is mostly not even premium), i see nothing wrong with it. It is outrages for sure but these places are packed almost on a daily basis

Also consider that the vegas clubs mentioned above are not some shoebox, they cost millions above millions to actually be build. They have to get there investment back somehow..

Go across the street to OSheas, The drinks are way cheaper, the expectations lower and its great fun.

You can get about 20 beers for the price of 2. Make your own fun.

Dont know how you in the USA can afford to go to places like that when even us from the UK baulk at the prices when 1 pound is worth $2
