Bit of help please from UK people who have hired before. if i was looking to hire a car, do/would i need both parts of my Driver%26#39;s Licence, or just the card part?

Cheers

When renting in the US, my UK friends have only ever had to show their picture license but have always had the paper section with them just in case. It%26#39;s not exactly a big deal to bring it along!

I%26#39;m not sure in terms of answering your question but you do need an international driving licence which is easy to get from the Post Office here in the UK.

(Well I needed one about 4 years ago in the US unless the rules have changed?)

You could ask at the Post Office in terms of the parts of your driver%26#39;s licence if nobody is able to answer your question on this forum.

Blagger did your UK friends not need an international driving licence too then, they just brought their normal UK licence then?

Will save me a trip to the Post Office :-)

A UK license is fine for renting in the US. Nothing extra is required.

Thank you :-)
