We are staying at the Palazzo from Dec 7-11 and got a great deal at $119 per night - should I upgrade to the concierge when I check in or do it before we leave for our vacation. From what it looks like the concierge does not include a strip view - would we be more likely to get a strip view if we upgrade when we get there or upgrade before we leave for vacation? I hear about long lines to check in I don%26#39;t know if that will be a problem at this time of year. With private check-in concierge may be quicker.
Staying at Palazzo - Help
Personally, I%26#39;d wait until you get there. When we visited in Sept., we were upgraded upon check in at no charge. Not to concierge, but to a strip view and it was fabulous. Palazzo will most likely have options to upgrade upon check in, as Dec. is a slower time. You might get the upgrade for free, or they may offer it to you at a price, which could be less than what you would pay to upgrade now. Enjoy your stay, Palazzo is a beautiful hotel.
Staying at Palazzo - Help
Check-in was no problem for me at Palazzo - no line at all (if they have a problem with anything, it%26#39;s luggage, which took so long to get up to our room that we didn%26#39;t have time to shower and change for our night, and then when we were leaving, it took an hour to get a bellman). None of their strip views are especially great - you really just look across at Mirage, TI, and Trump, and if you%26#39;re on too high a floor, you%26#39;ll have to be right at the window to see anything. But if you know you want to do a Concierge Suite, you might as well do it before arrival, to take advantage of the special check-in. Hope that helps!
Our concierge level room did not have a strip view, but the view of the mountains we did have was actually really pretty.
The Concierge Lounge does have an amazing strip view, with lots of window-side tables.
I would LOVE to stay at the Concierge level. Has anyone had any luck getting upgraded there without paying the extra $100/night?
I would love to hear from anyone who did the upgrade to Concierge Level and what You thought of the amenities offered. If You were comped, or paid for the upgrade, did You feel it was definitely worth it?
I got a special deal this summer on the concierge level for an extra $80 per night. Worth every penny for me. I did a trip report, you can click on my name and scroll down if you want to look for it...
Unless you%26#39;re a high roller, I doubt that%26#39;s an upgrade they give away much...
just found my trip report from last summer and bumped it up...hope it can answer some questions y%26#39;all have.
I already have two suites comped for three nights...think asking for a concierge level upgrade would be pushing it? :)
We%26#39;re going on a comped Palazzo luxury (strip) view and I figure it cant hurt to ask, maybe even a discount for concierge level? The website for reservations says add $100 per night when booking, but as an Invited Guest, perhaps the charge is lower? Ask, it cant hurt, I plan to! :)
I might call tomorrow and ask them. And if they say no, then I%26#39;ll ask when I check in. Maybe I can sneak in some sort of hint about how I will spend more $ on gambling if I am on the concierge level :)
