show suggestion

Can anyone suggest a good show to see in Vegas?

This will be my 3rd time to vegas and never been to a show yet so I figured I%26#39;d go see one this time..

I%26#39;m interested in a Cirque du Soleil show and price is not a concern so which would be a solid choice?

Also can anyone give me basic info on shows?

Do i need to arrive early?

any dress codes?

etc..

Thanks!

LOVE at the Mirage, it%26#39;s fabulous, you feel so good after the experience! Book in advance though as it does sell out most of the time.

No dress code, you%26#39;ll see everthing, jeans to formal attire!

Arrive at the theatre about 30 min before showtime should be ok.

thanks, also I%26#39;ve just been searching around on vegas.com but is there any better way to book tickets for shows online?

There are no dress codes for shows- or just about anything else in Vegas except clubs and the very expensive restaurants. You will see everything and anything- from torned jeans to formalwear. Wear what you are comfortable wearing- you will fit right in!

I have seen Mystere(twice), Love, O and Ka. Mystere continues to be my favorite because I feel it has the most WOW moments and it is ';typical'; CDS show. Love is fantastic in every way-music, costumes, choreography- you name it! Since the emphasis is on the music and not on the acrobatic feats Cirque shows are known for (although they are there) it isn%26#39;t really a typical CDS show. O was good but I didn%26#39;t think it was nearly as good as Mystere or Love. I did not like Ka at all- it didn%26#39;t hold my interest. I would avoid Believe- it is getting very poor reviews (but I have not seen it).

With most Cirque shows- it is best not too sit too close to the stage. Things are going on around and above you. When I saw Love I sat in the very last row and I was happy with the seat-I could see everything.

Most Cirque shows have pre-performance entertainment so if you want to see that you should arrive early.

My vote- Mystere or Love.

In Vegas you can dress casual but there are always some who dress well for a show. Usually most shows start about 10 minutes late but there may be some pre-show entertainment.

I think it is polite to be early rather than show up late but that%26#39;s just me.

My favorite Cirque shows in order are:

KA because of the cool stage and martial arts.

O--water stage.

Mystere--great acrobatics.

Love--great music but not as impressive as the others.

Zumanity--sexual themes, not bad but not as good as the others.

Le Reve--not a Cirque show but similar. Better than its reputation.

I haven%26#39;t seen Believe. I canceled my tickets after a friend warned me against seeing it. It could improve though. Le Reve was worse when it first opened.

Even though money is no object for you, Mystere is the show that is usually discounted although KA, Mystere and Zumanity have a locals discount going on now. If you weight it by how much you pay, Mystere is probably the better bargain.

Try these sites:

www.smartervegas.com

www.travelzoo.com

www.goldstar.com

www.broadwaybox.com

If you can%26#39;t find any discounted tickets- order from the hotel%26#39;s website. Or better yet- call the box office.

Sometimes Mystere appears at the discounted kiosks for 10/20% off on the day of the performance but if you really want to see a certain show you should get the tickets before you arrive.

My vote is for Ka. Loved it the most of any Cirque show I%26#39;ve seen. Spectacular!!!

We like to dress up a bit when we go to shows, but that is just a personal choice as you%26#39;ll see everything from jeans to dressy :). I like to arrive early to CDS shows b/c of the pre-show activity and just to soak up the environment.

Enjoy!!!!

Love

and get the cheap seats for best view!
