Pocket Book of Values: Is it worth it?

I am going to Vegas in about 6 days with 3 friends of mine. I JUST found out about this coupon book from lasvegastripadvisor.com. Is this worth the $37. I am only interested in 4 of the posted coupons(Rio- 2 for 1 buffet, 2 for 2 Manhatten Express, 2 for 1 Eiffel Tower, and $10 off Paris Buffet) My worries are that we get the the buffet at RIO(we wanted to do the Village Seafood Buffet it runs like $40) and they don%26#39;t except the coupon. ARE THERE RESTRICTIONS ON THE COUPONS.. time, day, the type of buffet???

Also, because we are leaving in 5 days, can I pick it up on the strip.. and how far is it... I was looking for a phone number, but CAN%26#39;T FIND ONE ANYWHERE on their website....

THANKS A TON!!!

Pocket Book of Values: Is it worth it?

POV is definitely worth it. Dozens of coupons, including some you don%26#39;t get anywhere else.

Some coupons are restricted, I don%26#39;t believe Rio%26#39;s is. Because you are traveling so soon I wouldn%26#39;t try to have them sent in advance. Rather, pick them up after arrival. They are located on a side street behind the Rio (closed weekends).

Phone number: 1-800-244-2224

If you aren%26#39;t interested in the rest of the book please send it to me when you%26#39;re finished :)

Thanks!!

I am planning on calling the Rio buffet and asking them. Not sure yet, if we are going to get them, I%26#39;d only save about $50, but.. we arn%26#39;t using a rental car, and I don%26#39;t know if we want to walk to this place when we arrive.. we are staying at Paris.

Thanks you were a big help!

I%26#39;m not sure if I read your last post correctly, but if you are thinking of walking from Paris to the Rio FORGET IT. Take a cab!

stephyb,

The two for one is for the standard buffet at the Rio and not the Village seafood buffet. If that makes a difference to you.

you must be looking in the right place on ww.lasvegasadvisor.com the phone # is defintely there. or sign up for a trial membership and post a Q on the forum - OR call information - a novel idea! Yes, you can pick it up in person.

I think you are worried they ACCEPT (not except?) the Rio coupon - yes, some restrictions - again, post on the forum and you wlll get answer in muntes - or do a search on the forum.

only you can decide if the membership is worth it for you - for me the forums are the value, the fabulous POV extra.

The POV pays for itself IMO

why only those coupons? What about $50 at Palms? 3x points at Palms and others. Matchplays?

ACG is good and very useful, but POV blows it away. More coupons/deals on better properties. Many can%26#39;t be found in other publications. You can get a free 5-day trial of LVA and ask questions as mentioned.

Where can you get a POV book?

www.lasvegasadvisor.com

I bought two this year off of Ebay, brand new, for under $33 each.

I usually use the Palms one, the Rio one, a few match plays, the Hard Rock....easily $100 worth and then re-sell them used on Ebay for about $20 each.

If you go to the website, they have a list of coupons and all the restrictions.

No need to take a cabe from Paris to Rio, just walk through tunnel to Bally%26#39;s and go outside and catch the free shuttle from Bally%26#39;s to Rio.
