Mirage volcano update

I will be in Vegas with my wife December 5th-10th and asked if the volcano will be ready and they said it is scheduled to erupt for the first time December 8th. It looks like it%26#39;s going to be pretty cool.

Thanks for the update. I will be going over Xmas and was wondering if it would be up and running by then. Have never been to Vegas before, and I heard this was pretty cheesy before, but maybe now it will be better? If you catch it while you%26#39;re there you should post about it when you get back so I know if it%26#39;s worth my time. Thanks!

Mirage volcano update

I called Mirage last week when choosing the View of the Volcano or Pool, and was told that when we are staying there December 14 %26amp; 15, unfortunately, it would not be ready. I am calling now, thanks for the update!

I just called Mirage Casino Marketing who put me on hold while they spoke with Engineering. Per this conversation they said, there had been several date changes due to technical difficulties. :(

All they would commit to is it will hopefully take place the latter part of December, with the Grand Opening scheduled for New Years Day.

I have a feeling we are going to be there too early to see it in December.

i guess they should get their stories straight....not sure why she told me dec 8th

They really do need to figure it out because I just got a email with a FLOW rate to come see the volcano come back to life or reignite Dec 8th.

So... are they changing the show? or did it break and they just fixing it?

They are remodeling the volcano. It wasn%26#39;t really much of a ';show'; to begin with, so I think it will just be a bit more spectacular now. The Mirage website has a preview video.

Walked passed it yesterday and it said late 2008. My daughter said its already November so how late is it going to be? Her other comment was what does Dolphins have to do with a volcano? I couldn%26#39;t give a good answer but, they have a dolphin habitat. LOL

I got an offer in the mail today from Mirage that said, ';Come be our guest Dec 14 thru Feb 19 2009 to see the volcano come back to life';. So maybe somewhere around Dec 14?

I am so ready to go back to Vegas and I just got back. I even got a call from the Tropicana today about coming back! The bad part is with the economy like it is, I probably won%26#39;t be going back for awhile!!!! ';Cry me a river';!!!!!! Oh, well, guess I%26#39;ll just have to keep reading everyone else%26#39;s trip reports! Sorry guys, I got off the subject!!!
