Is the walk from Signature far from the MGM main Casino and restuarants?

The walk to the Signature is a somewhat debated issue on this board. In my book, it is far. Yes there are 3 moving walkways, but it is still a hike. It is 5-7 minutes to get to the MGM, which puts in in the area with most of the restaurants. Add another few minutes to get to the casino, and a few more to get to the Strip. The MGM is at the south end of the Strip, so if you want to walk to the Bellagio fountains or the shops at Caesars it is not the best location. The suites at the Signature are amazingly comfortable. And staying there gives you the feeling that you are far removed from the busyness and excitement of the Strip. It depends upon what you are looking for. Many stay there specifically for the peace and serenity. I go to Vegas for the energy of the Strip. I stayed there once and loved the room. But it is not my first choice because of its location.

I forgot to say, staying in Tower 1 will save you a couple of minutes over Tower 3.

i stayed in tower 1 2 years ago. my first time in vegas and boy i did love the signature. yes the walk can be a bit far after walking the strip all day, but the walkways are moving so it isn%26#39;t a killer. once you leave the secured signature area you are right infront of the mgm restaurants so it%26#39;s no problem. plus the casino is only 2 minutes away.

I stayed in 1 a couple of weeks ago and would not hesitate to stop there again. Being 26 and able bodied I could get to the main casino floor from my room in less than 5 minutes (approx 4 to be precise) at my usual walking speed.

Also people who say it takes ages to get there - it actually helps if you carry on walking along the moving walkways instead of being lazy and just standing on them.

We stayed at the Sig. (Tower 1) last July and loved it. If we hadn%26#39;t gotten a $99/night deal at the Venetion we%26#39;d be staying there again next week.

From Tower 1 the walk to the MGM casino is no more than 10 minutes at a casual stroll. The restaurants (and monorail stop) are slightly closer. The Sig. is also very convenient if you use the monorail.

One ';hidden'; advantage is that you can easily bring back left over food from those huge portions most places in Vegas serve and finish it later (like at 3 AM when everything is closed and you%26#39;re **REALLY** hungry...)

It%26#39;s a wonderful hotel.
