July 4th in Vegas?? Best place for a group??

Just got put in charge of putting together a trip to Vegas over July 4th weekend. We%26#39;re looking at about 4-5 nights and there is a group of 10-15 of us.

I%26#39;ve stayed in the Monte Carlo a few years back and it was nice but looking for something different.

The one stipulation is it needs to have an awesome pool with good daytime parties.

July 4th in Vegas?? Best place for a group??

Is July 4th a good time to be in Vegas?

4th in July in Vegas is great...I did it last year. A word of warning though: it is HOT HOT HOT.

How much $ are you looking to spend?

Maybe you can get a huge suite with adjoining rooms or something.

Not if you like to celebrate the 4th.

You could get a fortuna suite at the Palazzo (1300 sq. feet) that has a large living room and seperate (with a door) bedroom with a king. You could use that suite for everyone to hang out, as it has a bar etc. Then you could get 4 standard luxury suites (700 sq. feet each) nearby each with two queen beds and a pull-out sectional couch.

So that would give you:

1 King Bed

8 Queen Beds

5 Pull-Out Couches

5 Huge bathrooms

divided by 10 people comes out to about $150/night.

Palazzo is a GREAT property too. They would also probably give you a discount for booking so many rooms.

Whoops...I meant to say siena suite, not fortuna suite.

Thanks for the advice. A few friends have already suggested Palazzo.

Dsoren, I%26#39;m definitely going to look into that whole deal you are talking about.

How is the daytime scene at Palazzo? Do they have pool parties? We are all in our mid 20s and want to party. Will we fit in at Palazzo or stand out? We keep it classy...sometimes.

Hard Rock and Palms were also recommended to me but I think we prefer to be on the strip. Or is their daytime action worth not being on the strip?

Palazzo isn%26#39;t really a party hotel. It%26#39;s a bit more serene. For your group, I%26#39;d look at the Flamingo. Great pool area and more of a party atmosphere. The best pool parties are at Palms and Hard Rock though. You could also try Mandalay Bay and MGM, both of which have great pool areas.

The don%26#39;t celebrate the 4th in LV like we do in Boston. It%26#39;s just not that big of a deal out there.

The Palazzo%26#39;s sister hotel, the Venetian, has TAO beach, which is basically a pool nightclub. You can access it from the Palazzo pool deck.

The Palazzo is definitely a classy place, but I think you will be welcomed. After all, Vegas really is one big party...

But, there would probably more young people at Hard Rock, MGM, or Palms.

Even though Hard Rock %26amp; Palms aren%26#39;t on the strip, if you are young and primarily want to party, they are the places to be.

I almost forgot Planet Hollywood! Duh!

It is on the strip and apparently the youngins like to hang there. It won%26#39;t be as luxurious as the Palazzo, but it will be a pretty big party.

Plus, the panorama suites look really cool.

You could do one of those with a few adjoining regular rooms...

I have to disagree with this. We%26#39;ve been a few times and always had a blast on the fourth. This last 4th of July, we went up to ghostbar at the Palms and watched the fireworks that were going on near Caesars. If you can get somewhere with a good view, it%26#39;s neat because you can see small displays going on all over the valley. Grab a drink and watch the light show!
