For a family of four in one room I would definitely recommend some sort of suite. Check out the Venetian or Palazzo, their standard rooms are about 700 sq. feet, and have either a king bed or two queens, a pull-out sectional couch, three tvs, and a huge bathroom. Both properties are connected and owned by the same company, The Palazzo is just newer and a bit more luxurious.
New Year%26#39;s is pricey in Vegas. What is your price range? Palazzo and Venetian are running $280/night for those dates. That is REALLY high, but as I said, New Year%26#39;s is expensive.
We have a teenage son that we have taken to Vegas several times and he loves it. Let me know if you need some advice on stuff for yours to do.
That%26#39;s a very busy time in Vegas, prices are lower so far in comparison to the same time period in other years, but there are not any huge deals out there to be had either.
The Palazzo/Venetian suggestion is a good one since you like nice and need space. As for the gambling, not only can%26#39;t your children gamble, they are not allowed into any casino areas at all unless on the way to/from somewhere within the hotel such as the elevators or a restaurant. The casinos are very strict on this. Other than that, you should be fine.
You best bet would be Caesars, lots of choices in where to eat %26amp; the Forum for shopping www.harrahs.com
on top click on LV then Hotel Hot Deals, huge rooms with very comfy beds, nice sitting area %26amp; huge bathroom. The best part is location center of the strip so it makes it easy to go in either direction since you are in the center.
Wynn would be another good choice, very luxurious, newer, very comfy beds %26amp; soft sheets %26amp; extra large towels, huge bathroom, large sitting area.
www.wynnlasvegas.com
Venetian %26amp; Palazzo are also good choices.
Mandalay Bay THe Hotel is a good choice but the location is bad, it%26#39;s at the end of the south strip so it makes everything to be a inconvenience.
P.S. BTW check out the Augusta Tower or the Palace Tower for the larger rooms at Caesars.
Augustus Tower, not ';Augusta';
Unless Caesars have opened some new golf themed rooms...... :-)
There is much discussion on this forum of the wisdom of bringing teenagers to Vegas, with strong opinions on both sides. Personally, I think your kids will find it frustrating, not even a glass of champagne on New Year%26#39;s Eve - the whole city will be one huge party and they will feel left out.
Try the MGM Signature one bedroom suite. These units also have a pullout sofa in the living room. Book one of these suites through the VRBO website from an owner or pay more and book with MGM directly.
Stratton,
If the OP wanted to give their kids a glass of champagne, they could just buy some for them...
But, I disagree with what you are saying. My teenager LOVED Vegas. LOVED it. He is the one who wanted us to go back! He had a blast with a friend of his; they went to the malls, rode the roller coasters, went to the top of the Eiffel tower, watched the bellagio fountains, and a bunch of other stuff. Not to mention the restauraunts we ate and the shows we saw. They were busy ALL day.
