Dining

My husband and I are going to Vegas the 2nd week of December to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Can anyone suggest a good place to dine. I have already been to the Paris Eifel tower, so I don%26#39;t want to go there again. We are going to stay at Mirage. anyone has stayed at this hotel before, please share your experience. Also the best place to shop as we don%26#39;t have too much time to visit all the malls. I prefer the malls outside of hotels.

Thanks for your suggestions

First congrats! Mirage has recently remodled all the deluxe rooms and are working on the suites presently. (Will not even notice this)

Mirage is busy at night around your elevators due to beatles bar, pool and habitat entrance and small shopping area. A little darker casino than many and narrow walk ways (only negatives I know), but clean, fun and safe. Good places to eat. Fin is good Chinese. Samba%26#39;s is a brazilian steak house that serves many, many meats at your table (cut off skewers at your table). For an anniversary, try Onda. Or go next door to Bellagio%26#39;s Circo or Jasmine. Both overlook the lake and fountain show.

As to shopping you are close to the large Fashion show mall with all the anchor department stores and small shops from purses to fashions. Also Caesers is next door and has many shops.

Enjoy, not knowing where you stayed before to compare to Mirage is hard, but Mirage is still a great propety. Not the romantic place as it was in its prime but still very nice.

traveller, a little more specificity will help. Vegas now has many, many top notch (anniversary quality :-) restaurants. Type of food? View preferred? Budget, comparable to ET? Mirage is a fine place. Not to worry there.

Congratulations on your anniversary! I would suggest Alize for that anniversary meal. I like it much more than the Eiffel Tower or Top of the World (I have eaten at all three more than once). The food, ambience and service can%26#39;t be beat.

If you prefer the malls outside of the hotels than you can try Fashion Show Mall that is right near TI.

If you are looking for an outlet mall I think Premium is the best.

Thanks to all who took time to respond. I do not prefer Asian food on our anniversary. I would probably like either American or French cuisine. We booked Tower Deluxe Room at Mirage. I am just hoping it will be good. Thanks for the shopping advise.

I think Mix at TheHotel is a greally great location for an anniversary dinner, especially if you prefer French/Continental food. The room itself is amazing, in addition to the food and service. Then, you can walk right over to Mix Lounge for a post-dinner cocktail (or pre-dinner cocktail for that matter) and enjoy the fabulous view of the entire strip at night.

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Mirage several times and have had very good experiences. Great location and many options within the hotel. Definitely try Stack and Kokomos, great food.

As far as the anniversary dinner...too many options to list. The Bellagio, Wynn, Mandalay, and Venetian all have several options to choose from.
