Hello,

A friend is celebrating her 30th in Vegas next month and her birthday present from friends is money for different little treats while she is there.

We want to suggest somewhere to go for cocktails - can you recommend somewhere classy and special (without being hideously expensive)?

Also while I%26#39;m on, one of the other treats was going to be the gondola ride at the Venetian - is it worth doing on a first trip to Las Vegas?

The gondola rides are like $12/person I think and they%26#39;re only like 7-10 minutes long. To me it%26#39;s not worth it, however, if you do decide to do the Gondola do the outside ride at night time. It seems like the better choice.

You could always go to the top of the Eiffel Tower as well.

The Petrossian Bar at the Bellagio is quite nice:

My favorite cocktail spot is Mix Lounge at the top of THEhotel. Go before sunset and watch the sun go down and the Strip light up. Parasol Down at Wynn is also worth checking out.

Forget about the gondolas. Your cash will be better spent elsewhere.

I second Mix, it%26#39;s a great place for a drink or two, you can%26#39;t beat the view. Voodoo Lounge should also be on the list for the view and outside patio. I%26#39;d say average price for a good drink (martini, etc) would be about $15.
