Airport to the Flamingo

Hi Guys,

I will be arriving tomorrow night in Vegas and I am wondering how to get to the Flamingo from the airport.

I will be taking a cab so as to not be taken advantage of, what should I tell him/her?

Street names? Tunnel/no tunnel?

Flamingo Hotel, take Swenson. If he asks what then? Say Swenson to Harmon turn right on Koval then left on Flamingo Rd. and right on Audrie.

What would be the approximate cost of the taxi?

Mommy, just say Flamingo and they will take you on the east side (either Paradise/Swenson or Kovar) of the strip. Should not worry about tunnel but friday night there will be traffic (but less than the Blvd)

Cost should be $12-$15 plus tip.

No tunnel.

The average fare is about $15.

The shuttles charge around $7 per person so it is usually cheaper or about the same price to take a cab if there are two or more people. A cab is usually faster since many times the shuttles wait until they fill up before leaving the airport and you may not be the first one to be dropped off at your hotel. It could take a while if you take a shuttle and most people want to start their vacation as soon as possible rather than getting a tour of other hotels. The cab line may seems long but it moves quickly.
