Treasure Island

Hello everyone!

I normally just sent back and do all the reading, but this time, I need some help. Would you stay at Treasure Island in the petite suite, after a long relationship break up? My fiancé and I were supposed to go to Vegas in January, but we split, I am going to go ahead and adventure out.

If you could please help me out, that would be great. I would like to still stay at the Treasure Island, because I really like what the room has to offer. Would I be crazy from getting a suite that is supposed to be for a honeymoon? Also, is Treasure Island in walking distance to Flamingo and Bally’s? What is the crowd like at Treasure Island? I am still young (28) but not as gorgeous as I once was, I have a few curves on me, also I plan to wear jeans and dress pants, no dresses for me now days, so would I feel out of place? My other choice is Flamingo.

Please help!

Thanks

Treasure Island

You%26#39;ll fit in just fine at TI. The crowd is ranges from the mid-20s~30.

As for staying isn suites alone, it is really not a big deal. I personally enjoy the extra room as I am a slob. Treat yourself and have some fun or invite a friend to go along. You%26#39;ll have fun, enjoy LV.

Treasure Island

Hey! I%26#39;m staying there for the first time to in May. I%26#39;ve heard that the petite suites have a $400 deposit for incidentials (which kind of sucks) and if you don%26#39;t have the deposit money they just downgrade you to a regular room.

It is walking distance to the Flamingo (although it%26#39;s a little far, but you can do it.)

I%26#39;m not way fond of the casino, and this wasn%26#39;t my first choice of hotels but the price was right and the rooms look awesome. I%26#39;ve heard the beds are Wynn quality.

You%26#39;ll have fun! It%26#39;s right next door to the Mirage so you%26#39;ll be fine! And there%26#39;s a tram that goes back and fourth between TI and the Mirage.

Oh and I know what you mean about not being as skinny as you once were. I feel that exact same way. Even though my boyfriend tells me I%26#39;m not fat, I just don%26#39;t weigh 120 anymore like I used to, but I don%26#39;t let it bother me.

You%26#39;ll be perfectly fine! Have fun and forget about him! There was someone else on this board who just had a bad breakup too but he%26#39;s still going!

GO GO, wait till you see the fun you are gonna have. Don%26#39;t give the part about fitting in any more thought, you will fit in trust me ! Vegas is just more fun than I can describe!

Thanks to all of you!! Is treasure Island in a safe part of the strip, is it okay to walk by myself at night?

Thanks

I would say anywhere on the Strip is safe at all hours.

The 400 for the security deposit, can they just add it to your credit card?

Thanks

Crystal...I am so sorry about your breakup.

Personally, I would not only switch rooms but I would switch hotels. Breakups are hard enough without staying in the same room that you were planning on sharing with your new husband. Everytime you walk into that Petite suite and/or the TI hotel, it will be a constant reminder of him. Don%26#39;t put yourself through that. There are so many lovely hotels in Vegas so do yourself a favour and switch it up...the less reminders of him, the better! If you%26#39;re heart is set on staying at the TI though...yes, it is walking distance to the Flamingo and Bally%26#39;s.

As far as what to wear, jeans and dress pants are PERFECT!

Also Crystal, just so you know...GORGEOUS not only comes from within but it also comes in all shapes and sizes as well so don%26#39;t worry about those extra curves, most of us have them!

Have a WONDERFUL time in Vegas!

I Kind of agree with Darman, my wife and I got married in vegas and stayed at CP in the Augustus Tower, now we%26#39;re seperated and I%26#39;ve been to Vegas numerous times and to this day I can not go into CP haaa..

So depends how you feel crystal, def dont go in that room if you will end up thinking about him...

Anyhow, enjoy vegas.. I%26#39;ve been there solo many times just to get away, Love it..

Thanks to all of you for the info and the nice words! This was a really hard split, we were together for what seems like forever, so I think it%26#39;s probley besr, I stay at Flamingo.

Thanks again!

Crystal - sorry to hear of your breakup. You definitely should still go to Vegas. I did a solo trip to Vegas in October and absolutely loved it.

Treasure Island is within walking distance of Flamingo/Ballys area. I went to TI a couple of nights that I was there. Another suggestion for hotel rooms is the Palazzo. I was trying to decide between the TI petite suite and Palazzo. Palazzo had some great rates and so I went with them and so glad that I did. The suites are awesome.

You will definitely feel safe walking around by yourself in Vegas. There is always a ton of people walking around.

Go and enjoy!!
