Low limit BJ?

Hi all!

Growing up my family went to Laughlin at least 5 times a year. It%26#39;s sad to hear the Belle and Edgewater have gone to the pits, those places are very nostalgic for me. I haven%26#39;t been to Laughlin since my honeymoon 5 1/2 years ago, but the hubby and I are heading there next week and we%26#39;re staying at the GN which I enjoyed during a previous stay.

My question is, where can I find low limit (less than $5) BJ? If my memory serves correctly, I think we played @ the Pioneer last time. Is there any other place? We only play table games and poker, but would like to earn some comps. Any tips you have would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Low limit BJ?

During the day on weekdays at the Belle, Edgewater and Avi you can get 3 buck BJ. And the Edgewater casino has been completely redone and may folks really like it. It looks very different. The Edgewater and Belle have just been sold again. They were in bankruptcy protection.

Wow- this is news to me. Who did they sell to? I did not know they were in bankrupcy? Are you sure?

Marnel-Sher gaming owns the Belle and Edgewater, and they are building the new ';M'; casino soon to open in Las Vegas.

I know the Aquarius is in the process of a new sale, and the Golden Nugget was suppose to be sold, but the deal just fell through due to the credit crunch.

The River Palms and Tropicana owners -Columbia Sussex are in bankrupcy, but the news about the Belle and Edgewater is a surprise to me.

If you have any details, I am interested in this news.

The Edgewater and Belle have just been sold again.

I had no idea Marnell sold them, wow.

Does this mean the new owners may not change the Boiler room to non-gaming?

Who bought them???

I track the gaming news almost daily, never saw anything about bankruptcy, sale, new owners, I am really behind........

Sorry...I meant to type River Palms and Tropicana for the bankruptcy part. Didn%26#39;t mean to start any rumors.

We just arrived home this PM from 5 days and we found $2.00 BJ at the Colorado Belle Weekdays until 5 PM.

I assume the statement about the Edgewater and Colorado Belle being sold again was an error too?

In regards to the Tropicana, curious on a locals point of view on this place since it is in bankruptcy, room? payouts? restaurants? , we are considering a stay there within the next 2 weeks.....I guess this would be directed to grif, swede, polka and anyone else thanks.....

Locals point of view.....this is the best place on the river now.....they are giving good comps and food deals and the rooms are always nice. Slots no better or worse than all the others.

I think polkadad hits the nail on the head with his take on the Trop. They are really going all out to bring people in and give them something to come back for.

At Harrah%26#39;s near the Keno section they have virtual blackjack. One side is $5 and the other side is $2, I played on $20 for a long time and thought it was great fun. The dealers change every so often just like at a ';live'; table. Never made it to any of the other casinos so I don%26#39;t know if any others offer this or not.
