Do anyone know a good tour from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon South Rim that includes helicopter and rafting, possibly without the trip back to Vegas by bus??
Thank you!

Grand Canyon South Rim Tour
There are trips like you are inquiring about.
Option 1: a 2 or a 3-night trip in the Grand Canyon, helicopter in, bus back to Vegas. Most trips have first night at a ranch near the rim of the canyon. A great introduction to the Canyon.
Check out www.rivers-oceans.com for more information
Option 2: a one-day trip at the very last section of whitewater in the canyon you can book a tour from Vegas at www.destinationgrandcanyon.com/udrafting.html but if you rent a car and driver yourself it鈥檚 much cheaper, plus you can do the interestingHoover Dam tour on the way. If you call www.rivers-oceans.com they can help you set up this trip and the logistics
Although, I highly recommend doing the longest possible trip in the Canyon the 3 or 4 day is just an introduction and the one-day is barely a taste. The best rapids and hikes and even better scenery are all upstream. Check out ehow.com/how_4511365_book-grand-canyon-raft-鈥?/a> for more information on how to go about finding a multiday trip.
Grand Canyon South Rim Tour
Visiting the South Rim and rafting in the Grand Canyon are really two seperate trips. Canyonwren has pointed out that you can take a flight from the South Rim all the way to the west end of the canyon for a one day raft trip, but it really takes you away from the most dramatic part of the canyon. It%26#39;s about a 200 mile round trip! This is not a Disney ride!
If you are serious about rafting the Grand Canyon, make that a trip in itself. Do it during the summer raft season and take a week or more and raft the whole thing. The shorter 3 or 4 day trips require a hike in or out of Phantom Ranch. The only other options are at the lowest end of the canyon and you can do something as long as 2-3 days or as short as a half day, but it%26#39;s still beyond the depth of the best parts of the GC.
My advice is to go and visit the South Rim at the Grand Canyon Nat%26#39;l park first. Rent a car and drive yourself there from LV and spend a night or two at the park. You don%26#39;t need to book a tour. But learn about the canyon there, and get a feel for what it is. If you%26#39;re like me and others who love the place, you%26#39;ll be inspired to come back and do a real raft trip. What you do need to do though is book your overnight accomodations at one of the park hotels. Those book as much as a year in advance, so do it now. www.grandcanyonlodges.com
I%26#39;m also finding it interesting that Canyonwren has resurrected a 6 month old post...
